The inaugural Cambridge India Business Dialogue on 31 May 2024, at Cambridge Judge Business School (CJBS) explored the theme of “India Ahead: Shaping the Global Future with Local Innovations” with a day-long conference featuring a host of speakers including entrepreneur and digital innovator, Lopa Patel MBE, Chair of equality charity Diversity UK and Founder of the Asians in Tech initiative. The Cambridge India Business Dialogue event proved to be a pivotal platform for exploring the dynamic interactions between global and local dimensions in business and helped to highlight how Indian innovations are steering significant transformations on a global scale.

It was opened by Pro-Vice-Chancellor Bhaskar Vira and CJBS Dean Gishan Dissanaike with closing remarks by Jaideep Prabhu, who is Co-Director of the Centre for India and Global Business alongside Marvin Fernandes. Speakers included:

Cambridge India Business Dialogue Organising team

Ujjwal Pandey, who brings 7.5 years of diverse consulting expertise in industries including EVs, chocolates, and green hydrogen, with a focus on sustainability.

Ravi Chaganti, who has an extensive 8-year engineering background in the telecommunications and software industries.

Ashutosh Sarda, an architect turned business analyst. He runs an architecture and interior design firm alongside a wellness brand.

Tanmay Datta, a development banker and a mechanical engineer with a background in financial reporting, due diligence, risk, financial modelling, and compliance.

Rushali Bhandari, who has 5 years of consulting experience and collaborated with Indian entrepreneurs to implement market expansion strategies outside India and develop sustainable and compliant global operating models.

Mansa Shroff, a microbiologist who is deeply passionate about cross border partnerships in healthcare and digital health.

Dhruv Nayar, who has 8 years of consulting experience in digital transformation projects in transportation, utilities, and financial services sectors.

Dr Lavanya Dalasari, a dentist with 7 years of experience in the healthcare industry and carries expertise in leading teams to deliver real-world data to improve cancer outcomes and treatment analysis.

Shreya S S, a software engineer with 3 years of experience leading a mobile application development team for facilities and wellness management.

Tanu Gupta, a seasoned analytics professional with work experience in the healthcare, consulting, e-commerce, and mobility industries.

Srishti Bhandari, who has 6 years of experience working in audit in sectors including oil and gas, mining, and manufacturing.

Soumya Bhaskaran, who has 5 years of experience in business development and corporate strategy across the edtech and healthcare/pharmaceutical industry.

Devikaa Nanda, an impact-driven professional with consulting experience in curating edtech courses and building higher education institutions.

Neha Reddy Palakolanu, who transitioned from engineering to the education sector, managing projects at the intersection of technology, education and social impact in both edtech and nonprofit contexts to enhance learning outcomes.
