Cambridge is fast becoming a key world centre for disruptive and world-changing science and technology in AI, Machine Learning and Robotics. The already vibrant and fast growing Cambridge Technology Cluster and the environment of Open Innovation in Cambridge combined with the availability of investment capital for technology companies ready to scale, together with the ever growing presence of Chinese technology and investments in the Cluster make it ideal for cross-continental collaboration.
In the Keynote Speech of Mr Lu Sen, Deputy Director Shanghai Development Research Center of Economy and Informatization, shared Shanghai’s vision, mission, and current development status, saying “Shanghai endeavours to build a leading international City by 2040. To realize this vision, we are keen on seeking new governance models and development momentum, and take the development of artificial intelligence as the main drive to build a world-class smart city.”
Two AI companies, Chief.AI and AlgoDynamix were selected to present at the Forum.
Chief.AI
Chief is a drug re-purposing company developing AI search engines consuming drug data from research papers, patents, clinical trials and patient records. Off-pathway effects of drugs are correlated and verified as potential novel, IP protectable drugs. This method produces drugs that can be fast-tracked into human trials faster and at a lower cost.
AlgoDynamix
AlgoDynamix is a pioneering portfolio risk analytics company focusing on financially disruptive events. Our customers include investment banks and asset managers including hedge funds, CTAs, and family offices. The deep data algorithms underpinning the AlgoDynamix analytics engine use primary data sources (the world’s global financial exchanges) and proprietary unsupervised machine learning technology.
